I drive a 62 mph truck and I always slow down when the speed limit drops, and I always get passed by fast trucks and governed trucks and every 4 wheeler.
I do not see the 75 mph trucks slowing down much in a 45 mph construction zones, same as the governed 65 crowd.
On I-65 in Kentucky I'll run 57 in that 30 mile long stretch, I never catch slower traffic

The fastest flatbed fleet truck... good question. Seems like all the bigger companies read from the same playbook as the doorslammers. "Build a truck that a moron can drive, and then go hire a moron to drive it."

Truth be told, if you don't have a small fleet in your area, you're SOL. Tell you what you do, hand...go ahead and run for Maverick for a bit, get your rhythm going, and your skills, learn the freight lanes and the business side a little bit and then go out and buy an owner op spec truck. Something with your choice of engine, transmission, gear ratios...something built for performance, instead of a beancounter spec'd moron machine. The better performing trucks are much easier to drive. That puts a lot less stress on you, the driver. Less stress=less mental fatigue. In other words, the initial cost will be higher, BUT you will come out ahead in the long run.

Here we go again with another what company can I drive fast at threads.
Listen new breeds I'll explain it in short the best way I can. It's not how fast you go...... get away from the
    .30something cpm companies.
    .50/cpm x 600 a day x 5 days ( if you're a home every weekend driver)
= $1500.00 gross a week.... yes I know we can all do better than 600 miles a day I am just using an overall average. I gross this and better every week and again as I stated I am in a 65 mile-an-hour truck and on the E logs. You don't have to drive fast to make money that is a myth myth myth myth. Come on guys and gals are we adults here or what ?it's not about fast trucks shiny trucks chromed-out trucks and every Gadget you can find to put in a windshield. Or even how loud your CB with all your Echo can get. It's about $$$$$$$. Benefits, and what kind of retirement you can build. It's about building for the future not just getting by. Are we out here to make money or out here to see how fast we can go. If I stay on track with the average I have been doing for the past nine months of this year if I keep up with that average I will gross $62,000 and I have been home every weekend for the past 4 months. AND I DID IT ALL IN A 65 MPH TRUCK WITH ELOGS!!!!!

No. They just don't seem like they'd be fast. They look like fuel mileage is their game
