Hell, a 12 pack in the fridge and hooker in the bunk wouldn't be too much to ask either!:biggrin_25525:

Back in my flatbed days my boss had a spare daycab. If my truck was down I’d drive that and just motel it every night during the week. Then he put a little flat top sleeper on it and when my truck was down I just took time off. Without knowing if people showered every day or not I wasn’t interested in a nasty mattress in a tiny flat top bunk.

Passed my tanker endorsement test but flopped on my doubles/triples. I guess i have something to study this weekend. Also taking that as a sign that maybe now it isn’t the best time to apply to jobs. I have a vacation coming up in a few months and i still need to get some finances straightened out. So you guys will have to continue to put up with me for awhile

Talked to Shane earlier and my truck is going to be awhile. He says the body shop is slammed and there’s other FCC trucks there as well

dwells40, DonRobbie and bzinger Thank this.

Another day in trucking. Made it Joliet with a little over an hour left on my 70, Got a call while I was at the guard shack from someone at FCC wanting to know if I could pick up a load 45 minutes away. We agreed to follow up on that idea once I had chased down an empty. By the time I played musical parking spots to find a place to drop my trailer and ran over to their offsite to round up an empty I only had 43 minutes left, so had to call back and beg off.
Trailer I picked up was *marvelous*. Pretty sure we don’t deliver dog food to Home Depot…

I assume the load cupboard is pretty bare. I’m deadheading 350 miles on Sunday for a 260 mile load.

Hey, any y'all mofos been to the Albertsons DC in Denver,PA? Google view shows parking area in front of guardshack. Wondering if it's OK to park overnight there or it's just for check in. No info on dispatch notes

    4mer trucker Thanks this.

If I remember right you can park there but it fills very early and is very tight. It’s always been packed out the couple of times I was there. Usually you’re lucky if you can get in the driveway to check in between the guys wedged in there and the make a spots on the sides. I wouldn’t try it but I’m not very adventurous.

Okay, checked Google reviews, there’s a guy a week ago saying they don’t allow overnight parking any more so I guess my info is out of date.

    BigR Thanks this.
