Been running an Idaho Chicago loop. Decent pay easy load/unload, but Omaha to Davenport has always been my nemesis. Today took a page from Mr Davis and set the cruise at 65. This will be my new normal and I take back all the Prime comments I ever spoke. (Mostly)

You MWR guys keeping Plano as a secret to yourselves I see. Everytime I go to Chicagoland I get a horrible load from somewhere stupid since I’m part of the silver truck gang. And holy crap Plano is nice and easy.

Listen to this crock of ####
I bought my Camry in Wichita. Sedgwick County has a 7.5% sales tax. I live in Saline County, which has a 9.25% sales tax for some reason. I had already paid the Sedgwick County sales tax when I bought the car. But since my county charges more for sales tax, I had to give them an extra $350 because their rate is higher.
Absolute ########. I paid sales tax at the dealer when I bought the car, just to turn around and pay more sales tax because my county charges a higher amount than the county i bought the car from -
MidWest_MacDaddy and cdavis188 Thank this.

I’ve never paid tax at the dealer, always paid when I got the plates.
South Dakota will get you. I bought a pickup in 2005 when I lived in Montana (no sales tax) and at the end of 2011 when I transferred the title to South Dakota when I moved they charged 3% tax on the blue book value because there hadn’t been taxes collected on it in other states. I bought a vehicle in Montana again in 2017 when I was living out there and when I was transferring it to South Dakota in 2019 they didn’t charge tax because they figured Hawaii collected tax when I transferred it over there.
South Dakota will always get their 3% on vehicles, including commercial trucks and trailers. I wonder how many people get a surprise bill when they transfer everything to SD because there’s no state income tax. -
MidWest_MacDaddy and Long FLD Thank this.
