Back in the day when I flew 4 or so times a week my luggage and equipment was overnighted thru Fed ex so I only had a small carry carry on, so none of that other stuff mattered to me. I was given a travel allowance and whatever I didn’t spend I got to keep, but they way things are now I would never fly currently

Good morning all. Sitting at the Dennys in Whiteland Indiana one exit south of the Greenwood hub. Got there last night after getting dispatched from Murfreesboro yesterday afternoon. Slept at the hub last night, got up early this morning and grabbed a shower. Checked in with Linehaul and was told they’re finishing up a sort that will send me back to Nashville then Murfreesboro. Should be dispatched by 10am. Life is good in the Linehaul business. Safe travels everyone!

I’m fixing to switch to a linehaul position myself. Not as sweet as your deal, but okay for me right now.dwells40, MidWest_MacDaddy, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

There’s so much good with Linehaul. Hub to hub, no waiting to fuel at a truckstop. No worrying about parking, no paying for parking, and the biggest plus, no dealing with customers OR brokers. With FedEx, everything is done via the app, once a load assignment is put on you, you will get a phone call just to make sure you got it. Simply point A to point B. I thought I wouldn’t be able to change my mindset from chasing miles and being nickle and dimed, to simply driving my 11/14, which usually is 8/10, dropping my trailer (s) and calling it a day. My only regret? I didn’t make this change 10 years ago.austinmike, Friend, dwells40 and 15 others Thank this.

If the driver I met at the one end of my linehaul a few years ago, hadn't been a douche' bag, I would still be doing it.

Douche bags are all over this industry. There’s a robust amount here. I had one tell me the other day that he doesn’t talk to any FedEx drivers. All I wanted to know was where the Linehaul office was at a hub that I visited for the first time.surf_avenue, dwells40, Albertaflatbed and 6 others Thank this.

What the hell? Wasn’t he himself then a FedEx driver if he was at a hub?MidWest_MacDaddy, Lonesome and MACK E-6 Thank this.

Liked to keep making you wait 2 hours for a 53’ with the axles slid all the way back and half the lights not working?
That’s why I hate meet and turn runs.Lonesome and motocross25 Thank this.
