Fired for drinking off duty

I had a neighbor who drank two 30 packs a day. He drove a forklift pretty good drunk. They said hey man knock of the drinking at work around all this heavy equipment. His performance went down so he knew he need to be drunk to bring back those amazing forklift skills , so they fired him once they found out he was back on the juice.

 

Where did you drink ???
In the truck ?
On company property ?

 

Sounds like they were just looking for a reason to terminate you.
Especially with the whole applebees comment, that would have set me off.
'You think I went to applebees? Based on what? Are you just making assumptions for the sake of trying to start a fight?'

Plenty of other companies out there.
