Drivers do not have csa scores, only carriers do.

so take your warning and be glad there’s no monetary or criminal penalty like you could potentially get with a ticket.

That is correct, but the inspection shows on the driver's PSP report, and there's no way to fight that. Yes, if you're changing jobs you obviously disclose that and hope you have an opportunity to discuss what happened with the prospective company, but often the fact that it's on the inspection closes the door. If I had gotten a ticket for failure to maintain lane, I could have gone in front of a judge with dash cam footage to prove it was false, but there's no remedy for that "warning" on an inspection since there is no way to appeal what is written there.

And as for monetary penalty, in my case it cost me a $1500 "safety" bonus. Yes, it sucks that my company has that system in place and that there is no appeal within the company -- but if I want to leave because of that, now I have the dilemma described above.

I’ve been in this trucking game for 21 yrs and i know how it works….. why would anyone listen to someone like you who doesn’t know? You should google your facts 1st before answering this thread. Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) is a safety measurement system used to identify high-risk fleets, carriers, AND DRIVERS!! Everything you do bad on the road gets recorded into their system!!!

Typical driver. There’s a link right in my comment that proves you’re mistaken. Keep listening to the lunch counter bs.

Let's not fight guys because I literally just learned something. I had no idea DOT could do things like this. I've had a speeding ticket & Haz violation before. Went to court and my lawyers got it beat for me both times. I had no idea they could do things like this to make it hurt more.

As if drivers don't already have it hard.
