Most drivers could have fixed it enough to not show. I won't push the issue though. I just know how to avoid being fired for something that simple. The headlight lens is a simple fix also; can make the scrape disappear.

Outside of the headlight, it is an $800 repair. I don’t get how this is considered anything but an incident. The headlight can be polished out but the fiberglass frame under it needs to be either cleaned up and epoxied or repaired using fiberglass repair techniques.
this is what I consider an incident.
by the way op, don’t ever ask another driver to move his truck so you can get into the slot, either wait or learn how to get into it without having to ask.77fib77, lual, Zeldaofeden and 1 other person Thank this. -
I wasn’t getting into the dock I was getting out of it, the truck next to me just docked and the DC I delivered to is notoriously known to take hours to unload and send out paperwork. Disconnecting your truck from your trailer is a common practice and courteous at this specific DC. Also there is no waiting til they’re done, there’s always a long line of truckers that are also waiting to get docked in.
I get your point though, I should have waited as the safest option to getting out if the other trucker didn’t want to disconnect his truck.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Yep and as soon as you make contact with the wall, jump out and take multiple pics to tell the story of how tight it was getting out. Pics of the limited space to get out. Last year I had a 14 foot trailer and the customer had me back into a low clearance dock which ripped a huge hole in the trailer roof. I took multiple pics and also showed that they had no signs indicating that the dock could not take 14 foot trailers.
My company put me on a one year probation, but let me keep my job. I am very thankful for that but bummed that I have to start over at zero miles on my next 1 Million Safe Miles sticker lolCrappieJunkie Thanks this. -
You just file out the crack, sand it and pack it with bondo and sand it back down smooth then prime and paint it. How do you think all those guys get 1 million safe mile stickers on their trucks? LOLRickAnniston, Opus and Chinatown Thank this.

Good news: I have a conditional offer for Trans-System Flatbed, Schneider, and currently getting a call from JB Hunt. If all ends well I’ll be getting a job soon and I will definitely remember everybody’s advice and learned a hard lesson from Swift.
Thank you guys so much for your help, I was losing hope but you guys pulled me back to reality. I absolutely love this community.Albertaflatbed, MSWS, UturnGirl and 3 others Thank this. -
How did those companies know you were job hunting?Zeldaofeden Thanks this.

Sorry Ridge, but this is horrible advice. At the facility I work at we have to ask drivers to disconnect all the time to move around. Before we were having guys disconnect we had guys with 30 years experience and millions of same miles not be able to get out of their dock.
The entry way to the dock, if someone is in the first 5 doors no one can get in. They have to move. There is no other way, because of the angle of the entrance it's impossible. Their tractor sticks out and blocks the entrance.blairandgretchen, gentleroger and Zeldaofeden Thank this. -
