Could have been a cgi shot they set up. I doubt the guy let you get a really good close look at it.

Computer generated image. That's affordable. Not saying they made it, but a company like qualcom could have had it made to sell to companies to use on new drivers just like they did.

Swift policy on U-Turns is that they can only be completed when safe and legal. When assessing whether it is safe to do a U-turn check the following:
- Is it legal?
- Is it necessary?
- Is there any danger of crossing the path of moving vehicles?
- Is there sufficient space to avoid hitting anything with the trailer overhang?
- Will the wheels dig up the asphalt or dirt and cause damage?
- Are there any overhead hazards?
- Can it be done without jackknifing the equipment and causing damage?
- Never do a U-turn across any roadways or lanes of travel.
I avoid it myself if possible, but it is one of the tools of the trade that must be used on occasion. I really try to avoid the kind of u-turns that stretch the air and electric lines to the limit. I try to make a nice wide arc to save the severe grinding on the tires as well. Sometimes it's possible to use your backing skills to get halfway turned around as well and get going the other way depending where you're at.
They told us about being able to watch us on satellite too lol doesn't happen! It's all about scaring you to believe there's an eye in the sky watching your every move. -

I agree that if your trainer sat and watched you commit an illegal u turn and never corrected you..he did screw you. Still if you feel comfortable with your ability to drive, you can always go to the DMV and get your Class A license the old fashioned way and continue to apply for companies that hire drivers with little or no experience. It has been done..you just have to be careful and protect your CDL. Oh yeah and continue to ask questions.
