Pick a Reputable shop. Have them order the parts and paint them. Get a used headlight to get yourself going. When the parts are painted and ready to go they will call you. This way it will limit your down time. Inhave been hit 4 times in the last 6 years and that is how I did it each time. Because even if you have a rental truck on your insurance plan, they will only cover the rental time for the hours of the repair on the estimate from the shop.

Use whatever shop you want. Insurance company “steering “ you to a shop is illegal. They may suggest, but can’t force you.

Sure as heck wouldn’t be taking it to a shop for something I could easily repair. Not like it’s a Show n Shine truck.
