I'm a local city pickup and delivery (p&d) driver. I drive a single axle truck with a 48' trailer.
The line haul drivers are the ones that pull pups. They go terminal to terminal for freight transfer.
The line haul guys start out at about 50-54 cpm and top out at about 59-62 cpm for our guys at 18 months. Local delivery drivers start over 20 per hour and top out at about 24-25 at 18 months

Yeah saia here in Lexington ky I started at 21.85 and will top at 25.12 at 18 months. Raise every six months until topped.
Line haul for our region starts at .54 and tops at .62 at 18 months.

Saia is looking at breaking into the northeast starting 2017. They're already looking at Philadelphia hiring now to prepare for our first NE terminal.

Double brokers basically mean that they will re-broker another brokers freight. So basically a shipper would contact a broker to get it shipped. Than that broker contacts LandStar to have one of their guys do it. So basically you have two brokers dipping into the total profits of that load before you even get your share.

    That's so awesome!!!

You might have found me my new job!!!

Fort Meyers or Orlando! I didn't expect such representation in Florida! Drivers are always saying a driver can't make money in Florida.
