A lot of drivers suggested doing it since the western 11 didn't get as many miles. It turned out I was getting plenty of miles anyway. For me specifically, there wasn't really much advantage either way. I had no debt and I just let the money build up in the account, so it didn't matter if I saw it next week or next month.

One of the things I did not like was the way they handled reimbursing you for expenses. If you paid for a cat scale out of your pocket, they added it to your paycheck so you get taxed on the reimbursement as income. It wasn't much money, but it still didn't seem proper.

    Redtwin Thanks this.

May's guaranteed pay package is different. Some people like it, for the guaranteed income even if miles are weak.

However, if you are a go-getter, I would suggest that you look at another company. If May is offering you a job when other companies are not, then that is a different story.

Think about it this way. If you are a high mileage driver, May will be holding back a lot of your pay for a long time before getting it to you.
