I’ve done one oversize in that 3 month period. I try to book loads that other trucks don’t want to do. I spent a lot of time in the Dakotas, Wyoming, basically where there isn’t a lot of freight leaving. However I get paid pretty good going in. It’s all a trade off. Also having equipment other trucks don’t have pays off as well (such as a lot of chains, 16 binders, coil racks, tarps, etc). My bread and butter are multi stop machine loads as the pay is great. I’ve even done a 5 stop tarped load.
Your body needs to be able to cash the checks your fingers can type. @Kshaw0960 knows how to make $ in a tough market.
