Flatbed rates

I can't believe you guys are saying rates have basically been terrible this entire year for open deck? I disagree.

 

I don't think they're terrible, but they aren't as good as they could/should be compared to other freight. Plus factoring in inflation on inputs....yeah....it kinda sucks.

I was doing some research today on lanes that I run. I was looking over several trailer types. The rates are really consistent between Van/flatbed across the board at the moment. Van rates will probably take a dive after Christmas but will rebound when the supply chain starts coming back online. If you can hire a co-driver and run a reefer you could really make bank at the moment.

 

All you can haul for 2.00 and under from PNW here. No thanks. I'm parking it til spring. Fuel prices are soaring. No thanks

 

I guess I've still thought the open deck market isn't too shabby.

 

By spring time everything from these covid shutdowns will be caught up, $1.50/mile will be a great paying load by then
