Hi I’m new and was wondering how many 150-200 mile trips I could do a day?

    If it needs tarps one.
No tarps maybe two if everything goes perfect.

    Most flatbed shippers/receivers close early.

Is the 150-200 miles one way or round-trip? If it's one way, see above. If it's round-trip, you might be able to get in three no tarp loads if you start real early, but I think it would be hard to do.

I drove for a manufacturer, all no tarp loads, would start at 0400, could do two turns to a galvanizing plant in a day at 195 miles round trip, drop and hook with maybe seven straps. Or one similar 280 mile round trip and one 120 mile round trip with lots of fussing and straps to get a load of parts secure and a live unload and reload.

Plus I was inside the 150-mile exemption so I didn't run elogs. Once in a while I would do two of the 280-mile turns and would end up going to 16 hours since there would be some live loading and unloading on both ends. A couple of times there was some heavy snow and I spent the night in the truck.

Thinking about it some more, a few times I also did the 195-mile and the 280-mile turn in one day with some live unloading and loading. Those were long days.

The loading unloading, securing unsecured takes time.

Even if you're empty at 8am and get loaded and rolling by 10am. Drive 4 hours it's 2pm and then it can be 4pm by time unloaded.

    Then bam everybody is closed.
