I may not see you but somehow can hear you! Don't worry about me. With my 275 lbs...it would take quite a volume to have effect on me.

This is good when you use it with moderation and

    ALWAYS OFF DUTY!!!!!!!!!

I love it when places wont check u in unless u got full ppe , so when the white volvo mafia does up to the window with his flip flop and track pants , we get checked in before him, and get to cut him off in line!

I think we've gone a bit off topic with insults and baiting.

I don't think that the critics of flipflops and track pants are necessarily just prudes. It's partially the behavior of those found often wearing those items that give it a stigma. The truck may be your home, but going into the truck stop in shabby dress is just like doing the same at walmart, and we've all seen the pictures of that.

I've never really been too concerned about what others wear or do, to each his own. I've got enough of my own stuff & mistakes to figure out, let alone worrying about other peoples dress code, or lack thereof. What they choose to wear is up to them and not my concern. Some of my east Indian friends wear turbans in the summer. I don't know how they stand it, but that's their deal. Some guys go barefoot during mud season, claim they like the feel of the mud between the toes, more power to 'em.

FWIW, I've always worn work boots when working & driving trucks, tractors, etc. For me, it just makes sense. Mud season's coming right up, so I'll switch to Muck boots for a little while. Yeah, I'd stand out a little going into a TS for sure with them on, but hey what the heck...

Except that I've seen all sorts of shaggy beard, cowboy boots wearing boys not washing their hands before hitting Silver Skillet, not too mention licking their fingers before their 10th plate revisit .

I drive barefoot in summer. Keeps the athletes foot under control.

You guys may not realize that sandals are the official footwear of the third world, which is where new drivers come from. If theyre too poor for boots there, and driving here for peanuts to send home, how they ever gonna afford boots?
