Driver (Current Employee) – Jacksonville, FL – March 21, 2019
Management is very poor at managing the place. They expect you to work extremely long hours without extra compensation. These people are very demanding and liars. If you leave this company be prepared for them to destroy your reputation with Hire Right. Safety literally slides up on drivers spying on them while dropping fuel at customers. Unfortunately, I am still here at Florida Rock. I have been here for 8 years and 4 months but leaving soon. I just need to "cross my eyes and dot my T's" meaning already have another local position lined up. These people are very inconsiderate and don't respect you or your families time. Trust me this will be the biggest mistake of your life if you come aboard here. They have jerked my co-workers and friends around to the point everyone is leaving. The turnover rate here is approximately 95% PLUS.
I can PROMISE YOU, you will remember reading this if you're hired here.
There have been a few occasions where I have had problems getting my paycheck. I am finally to the point it's time to move on to bigger and better opportunities. I advise EVERYONE to adhere to what I am saying because you will regret it. Good Luck to all you drivers!

Florida Rock & Tank is the Swift of the tanker outfits. I had a buddy that worked for them briefly. I think it took him about 8 weeks to figure out they weren’t going to work out long term.

I cohabitated a shop with them 30 years ago. They leased office space, parking etc. Drivers running R model day cabs pulling elephant snot to Chicago were not home every night. Driver turn over was not high.
They had their own quirks as any company but we always got along well. Any single local manager can make a bad image for the company. You are making your own image. Many companies look at social media and such when hiring employees anymore. What you posted today could follow you the rest of your life. Other companies might not hire you because of what you have said about your current employer.
I would thank it best to delete it while it is fresh. If you have a serious complaint take it to the labor board.
Safety man funny story. As you know no passengers. A safety man driving on I 95 meet a company truck going the other way with a passenger. Being safe he went to the next exit and turned around. Then went as fast as safely possible to catch the offender. Drivers were still running tachographs and turned in the disc with the logs, 55 MPH. About 100 miles latter he passed the truck. Then started trying to get him to stop.
Driver did not want to stop for what appeared to by an unstable person in a four wheeler but he finally did.
The big Teddy Bear wearing the passenger seat belt was not distressed.
They were a pretty good company back then and I hope they still are. -
This is the information age , gotta love it , most drivers will dig up as much information as possible about a company before filling out an appjethro712 Thanks this. -
I inquired with them a few years ago when I lived in Florida. The second the lady recruiter uttered “We guarantee $750 a week”, I laughed and said “Ok, thanks for your time”.
