No idea, I just bought the truck last week. Parked it in my driveway and this morning noticed the fluid. What little cap?
-
You say calipers like in hydro brakes or do you have air brakes ? Air brakes it is only going to be a wheel seal only place there is oil. Hydro brakes it could be brake fluid. You did mention they just worked on them. What kind of vehicle ?
-
Hydraulic brakes.it’s a 4700. The brakes were done before I purchased it, It’s a hooklift truck.
-
I’ve attached a picture of the oil leak. Second picture is a unrelated leak, appears to be from the trans or oil pan. Not really sure but just want to try to trace it down to make sure it won’t become an issue.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Almost looks like its brake fluid leaking from the replaced hose, possibly the bleeder.
InTooDeep Thanks this. -
I'd just put a wrench on the fitting and bleeder and see if they're tight.
-
Oh heck, I’m sorry - some reason I thought 9700.
Ignore my earlier posts. -
Going to sound like an idiot, but I’m guessing the bleeder is the zerk looking fitting on the top?
-
No worries. I appreciate the input!
