I couldn't complain with my last fm, I had his email, cell phone, etc. He even made phone calls for me on Sat and Sun if I was in a bind or had problems. It is true that your fm will be the difference between making money and enjoying your time with the company an not.

yeah I gotta admit, my first FM was amazing. I was loaded every day. With this new FM, I deliver on Friday afternoon and sit and wait until Monday for my next load.

You better be calling the ops manager about that. That doesnt sound right at all. Your profile show you being a student though. If you just started driving they are not going to run you too hard because they dont want accidents. You wont make any money your first year. I lived off my savings account the first year I started driving.

My fm is good. she pre-plans almost everything and the weekends afford the entire span on Friday. no complaints here.

I've actually been driving commercially for about 10 years. I just started OTR. With my first FM I ran 2000+ miles a week, then they moved me to this new fleet and that came to a screeching halt.

That was pretty good considering the low per mile starting pay. I started as a student here to and came close to hitting 40,000 my first year but that was only because I stayed out for 5 weeks at a time and never took all of my home time. I was never fooled by what I was told by the recruiters and I didnt expectected too much the first year anyway. I was just tired of the 9-5 job and the workplace politics and was happy to be doing something else for a change. I was pretty comfortable financialy anyway so the money didnt too matter too much to me. I consistently take home $800 - $1200 per week now, 5 years later. I wont get rich off of it but its pretty good for a gravy train job like this.
