I know the DOT rag states anything on mount to the windshield has to be out of the path of the wiper blades. But if I want to mount something on my dash, is there a regulation that states where it has to go? I want to mount a tablet and my phone, maybe on one of those cool suction cup bar things, all on my dashboard.
I think it would fall under some other "obstruction" law. I remember there was one to counter all the crap people like to hang off thier rear view mirror. Dream catchers, mardigrass beads, doll heads, fuzzy toys... "Opinion"
Tablet is a bit large. I assume for traffic? I've always got a Garmin and phone holder. No one at the scales has ever mentioned it.
Wear a holster on your belt. Drop the stuff into it. Make sure it has retention so you don't watch the stuff sail out the passenger window in rush hour traffic.
Laugh. We actually have holders for tablets etc. When taken to a craftsman versed in the art of building leather gun concealed ment devices out of them, they are so ordinary tablet computer holder on your waist. No one cares about it. (it's on there pretty secure, you are just another harried out of sleep tech addicted worker who cannot kick the office out of the house for the night. /// tease. So they think. What is inside of there can be anything you want it to be.

My Volvo has a glitch. When it's raining the wiper sweep won't clear the water from the left bottom, right side and it's very hard to see the fender mirror.
