Melatonin doesn't work for me. I tried it when I was struggling sleeping doing teams. -
Here's the number one tip for getting sleep when you are flipping schedules:
Stop stressing about not getting sleep.
Sleep comes in 90 minute cycles. If you can get good solid sleep for 90 minutes or three hours or four and a half hours, you should be good.
WHEN YOU GET SLEEPY TURN OUT THE LIGHTS AND GO TO SLEEP. If you miss that opportunity to sleep you will have to wait another 90 minutes to catch the next biorythm sleep "wave". Don't screw around with this. Sleep when you can, where you can. -
