forgot to switch to off duty on elogs

What system?
Why can't you switch it yourself?
Guess you can't edit either?

We have QC Elogs and the only thing I can't edit myself is Drive Time.

 

we have peoplenet and can edit. it isn't called an edit. it's called an annotation. check your home screen and see if it has a screen marked 'annotations'. at least that's the way ours is and on another guys truck from another company I know running that bs peoplenet.

if it does you can go in and 'edit' the duty status there.

they can't expect you to sit until Monday to get someone from safety to fix it can they? if so, then it's time to look for another company. that's just asinine if that's the case.

the guidance I've been given by both companies I've worked for is you don't go on paper unless you are given specific direction from safety to do so......and they were much more lenient in allowing us the ability to edit.

you're right about the QC. it's a much better system. the peoplenet is second rate trash stone age windows 95 compared to the QC

if you really can't change it then you have no choice but take another 10 to set it right.

 

So sorry Mr Safety I forgot to change my duty status when I was at home, had to take an additional 10 hour break at the house. I know, I'm so sorry I HATE when that happens.

no problem man......it's an antiquated system for sure.

one other thing I noticed about mine as well is that it takes ALL the time from the point you push in the brakes if you let it change over to the drive line automatically. if yours is set up the same as ours, you can maximize your time each day by 10-15 minutes more if you manually change it to the drive line before you pull out of somewhere. watch the clock next time you pull out of somewhere and see how much time it takes from your drive line. if you only rolled for a minute or so and it takes 5 off your drive line, then the way to save that time is to only manually switch it to drive right before you pull out onto the road and don't let it make the status change itself
