Why can't they just let you be a yard hostler? Speaking of that Walmart also hires yard hostlers, or as we all call them "Yard Dogs".

 

It's an incredibly boring job, running a "yard horse".

 

Man, I want to drive for Publix. Heard it was hard to become a driver and they only hire from within. Also positions never become available cause guys never retired or left. Some making 99+ a year!
My CB handle is "Publix Sub"... they are so good.

 

Not at Walmart, the guys at our DC look like they don't have time to breathe with all the moves they're doing per hour. Very hard workers.

 

Yeah but a forklift...lol..I did have a yard horse ask me out on a date twice.

 

How is the pay for drivers out of the Dacula GA Publix and do they ever hire off the street?

 

No.

 

If the company is basically going to "fine" you 35k for something that didn't even hurt your record, and of course, didn't hurt theirs, I'd have been gone. If I screw up, I'll pay to make it right. But that's ridiculous. I don't think a "good" company would do that to a pretty good employee.
