It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out if consumers are paying a lot more for fuel and food they have less money to spend on other stuff. Less stuff bought means less stuff moved. Less stuff to move and too many trucks to move it means rates go down.

Don't look for rates to go up again until all the debt-laden O/O who got into the game with $250k in debt go out. Once the herd thins rates will stabilize but they won't go up again until the Mad King is gone. Once we open up domestic oil production again, stop paying for a war we have no part of (I missed the bit where arms dealers stopped accepting euros, apparently they only accept US tax dollars now), stop spending trillions on things that are optional at best (UBI, climate corps, equity programs, etc.) things will get back to normal (about 4 years).

 

No worries, consumers will be getting our quarterly money here soon and be spending like crazy again. lol jk kinda

Except this article says they're paying an extra $296/mo. ($3,552/yr) just to keep eating, going to work and heat or cool their homes
