Glad I found this forum, I have read most of the posts and I am interested in Freymiller.
Can anyone could give details on their Lease Purchase deal. Like some drivers I don't have a ton of money in the bank but would like to get into their lease program. Can someone elaborate on the payments, ins., purchasing fuel, can the speed limiter be adjusted?, etc.
Thanks. -
Back to work I go! Reporting to Freymiller next week.
floatnlikefiber and trucker1206 Thank this. -
I will have a little more insight into the "Lease Purchase" .95 all miles plus FSC and stop pay, fuel at loves(Mainly) keep reefer fuel receipts if at T/S. $1.00 buyout OCC/ACC=45.00,B/T=7.50,Escrow=100.00/Wk till 1,500.00 Qualcomm=19.00/Wk. 2010-2012 trucks 660's/386's 625/650WK I am working out the length of the lease now(3-5) I would like 36-38 that's a fair price, not 4-5 year's.
I am still working out the details I make great money now without the challenge of leasing just want to own my own truck. I also know the miles are there they also will help with getting your own authority(77% of line haul) so I might as well try an get the best deal. -
If you have your own authority, do you still pull freymiller trailers?
Anybody know age / weight / wheelbase requirements on tractors to lease on?
Does freymiller run into NC much ?
Thanks -
Aye flightwatch if I was you what you should of done was take the car to the truck and rejected the load then went back to the hospital to care for your wife especially if your about to go on home time I wouldn't pick up another load until I wanted to come back and to have them come get somebody else to come pick up a load.
also I don't repower loads if it is late or if a driver is out of hours only if the driver needs to get home is the only time I would swap loads.
If a dm calls me while I'm on hometime to come pick up a load i will tell them that I will pick it up when I'm ready to come back out.
i also don't do favors for a dm if the Qualcomm says its picking up at a truckstop I will reject it cause it's only going to be a repower
and if the dm doesn't like it well then he's just going to have to deal with it cause I'm here to do my job not to finish someone else's or do favors I take my loads from the shipper to the reciever not give it to somebody else or have somebody take it for me and if they can't find me a load were I'm at I will deadhead to the terminal so I can. Be able to pickup a load from there -
I applied hopefully I hear something and hopefully they can run me Pa to Cali and back and forth for the miles!

Thank you! At least somebody 'round here gets it. It's not about doing these people favors...it's about getting taken for granted. I give these people a full 4-5 weeks of my time to do what they wish with me. All that I ask for is 4 measly days to be left alone and spend time away from this stressful job. What some in here are not taking into account is the fact that it wasn't just going and picking up the load, I then had to babysit the load for 2 days before they brought somebody over to repower it. That's 2 days of going to make sure the reefer is running, checking the load, etc. And then when the other driver gets there, unhooking the loaded trailer and hooking up to the empty. That is not my definition of home time. That is work time...but even worse than that is the fact that it was FREE work time. I didn't get paid to babysit that load or do the repower. When a company can't respect my family enough to let them have a few days of uninterrupted time with me, then it's going to cause serious issues.
I doubt you will get consistent coast to coast runs. Besides, we don't have PA-Cali runs. If you drop in PA, then you will most likely be going to the Gloucester port to pick up bananas to take to Oklahoma. You might go into VA to grab something. It just depends where you empty out at. I can tell you that, if PA is your home state, you won't be seeing it until you're ready for home time. Freymiller is not one of those company's that give drivers loads into their home state...unless it's Oklahoma.
Well, I have officially hauled my last otr load for Freymiller. After a 710 mile deadhead from Houston to Russellville via Haslett, I grabbed a Tyson load and brought it to the yard. My official last day is Tues, but weekend dispatch won't give me another run, and by the time the regular folks get here Monday morning, it will be too late for anything other than local. It's a shame really. I was hoping to make a career out of Freymiller, but I cannot work for a company that operates like Stevens Transport...which is why I left Stevens Transport in the First place. And I only had 2 weeks to my 1 year anniversary. Oh well. The Challenger Thanks this. -
