And you pay a cargo claim because they route you around the high elevations ;)

Every load of chips I've picked up so far has been floor to ceiling, nose to tail; no way to put any straps on those loads.

That's how I got them as well. Full load was 8000 lbs. If you get the loads regular you realize how many friggin chips people eat. I would drop 2 trailers a week into a town of 5000 human beings

Screw the straps. It's harder trying to find some to sign your bills. Hell the janitor sign mine.

My load in Jonesboro was a few feet from the rear, so had to strap it. (they check you at the gate). Dropped in kathleen, picked one up there that I just opened the doors about a half inch and seen the boxes were up against the door (literally). Shut it quickly, put the seal on and left. Kathleen doesn't check your trailer going in or out. Dropping that one in Fayetteville in the morning, then picking one up there to drop in Frankfort, then deadheading to Gary to get my load home.

Of course, after a week on paper logs due to qualcomm problems, I managed to go two days and the thing quit on me again, so hoping to get that fixed again while in Gary. That is, if I make it to Gary tomorrow. Gonna be a 700+ mile day for me to get there.
