    You're wrong on saying it will take years to recoup....those apu's save co's a ton of $$...the apu's burn .1/gal an hour of fuel compared to 1+ gallons hour idling.

    "That's right". Also the APU doesn't just take care of the driver. It also takes care of the tractor engine. It keeps those Main Power Plant batteries charged, it helps to keep Main Power Plant engine warm. So their are fewer cold starts. It has a big job.

    Getting back to fuel solutions.... I still haven't seen any improvements in the routing. Still many miles not necessary. Multiple stops for less than a full tank. Yet supposedly it saving us money. Darn, I must have missed that fantasy math class.

    I am not going to get excited about 1 month of saving money. Give it a year. USA thinks drivers are stupid. Everyone knows they will not save money YOY. I am going to look up last years total because when totals for 2013 come in I would like to compare.

    FS said get fuel in Carlisle. Price there. $3.94. Would have been able to hold about 90 gals at that time,, just guessing since my fuel gage doesn't work well.
    Waited until Fair Play, Va and put on 137 gals at $3.64 using the same chain. I fiqure I saved at least $41 by not using FS. What do you think?
