They got me for that once, long time ago. All my Trucks have them mounted in the side box, only opened with a key. Not very practical.

I had a company truck with worn out clamp beside driver seat.
I’d just bump that thing and it’d fall out hitting both steps on the way down.

I finally moved it to besides the passenger seat and that door.
I’ve only used an extinguisher once on a truck, and got chewed out for saving their truck!
Told me I should’ve let it burn, then got garbage loads until I quit.

We recently had a loose extinguisher discharge in the cab of a truck... I guess it was not a pleasant experience for the driver.

If I recall, at one time the extinguisher had to be accessible from outside while standing with both feet on the ground.
Also make sure the tag on it is current, and not expired.

This was a hotshot truck I drove in the oilfield. Tossed a 20lb in the back seat. Not a good day. The cleanup was even worse.

Make sure you use an antifreeze jug. The lid is secure!

LOL. Thankful for that thing. The seat was so worn out. That company wasn’t replacing a seat cushion.
