Years ago, I was in Atlanta waiting for freight. A bunch of us were talking ****, and I mentioned the term "Georgia overdrive". A local driver stopped me and said "I guess a Yankee like y'all wouldn't know, but we don't use that term down here in Georgia. We call it "Alabama overdrive".
So, was he telling the truth???
Georgia overdrive; true or false??

I’ve heard old timers down here call it Rocky Mountain overdrive, Yankee overdrive, or Mexican overdrive. Was called Georgia overdrive in Dave Dudley’s song and kinda stuck I guess.
