Hello ROEHL drivers. I have a few questions that I need help with. I have applied for ROEHL and I will be attending there Appleton, WI location. I was told I would need to find my own transportation to Appleton that's not a problem. Then the recruiter told me said when they put me in a hotel, that I would have to find my own way meaning transportation to get from the hotel to the training site. Then probably again from the training site to the hotel. Now that is sorta a issue. My question is how far is it from the hotel and the training site? And what did you do for transportation? If you could help me that would be great. Are there any buses that goes by there or taxi, uber?

1- Roehl training is great but expensive
2 -Roehl the employer is really really really really horrible terrible hateful bad bad bad
3 -you won't believe me that's ok. But keep your eye out for where you'll jump to when you find out.
Not sure when they stopped providing transport in but that sucks. Your hotel is the Comfort Suites right by the highway. Good hot tub and nice breakfast. Walking distance to a grocery store and a dozen fast food and restaurants.
You might train at the terminal or at Fox Valley tech. I caught a ride with another trainee who had brought a car. There are buses but not to the terminal and iirc not in time for the classes at the tech college where I went. Uber was iffy in spring of 2019. The bus does go downtown to the bars but you can't let anyone rat you out about it or roehl will dismiss you. But the Blues bar has good local musicians.

Ask around you will probably find aonther driver who drives everyday...Catch a ride with them...Last I knew Roehl wasn't using Fox Valley anymore....Roehl isn't horrible..They are just a starter company...Somewhere for you to get experience and then move on.

    Same setup for Indiana training.
Couple guys in my class brought cars so they drive us in. Everyone chipped in a few dollars for gas.
Since there are multiple classes going on at the same time ( 1st week, second week etc) it seems everyone can get a ride.
Also, the experienced driver orientation seems to be rotating in and out every week and they get shuttled back and forth. The shuttle drivers are instructors so you can jump in those vans too.
They just show up and say anybody for Roehl I'm leaving in 5!

Nothing shows maximum dedication like chartering a helicopter to school.
