Hello, I recently started working as a truck driver and my first company was PKA Trucking I worked as a leasing owner operator, I worked 3 weeks and then got my statement and it looked horrible after their commission of 20% when we agreed on 18% only I said it's not ok, next day they fired me saying I'm a bad driver for a small scratch to a trailer that happened 3 weeks prior at the very beginning. They refuse to pay now for 3 weeks worked and blocked my number entirely, I want to know if I can bill the shipper and receiver ?

I’d love to hear more details.

You are posting in the ‘ owner operator ‘ section, so I’m sure some owner operators will be willing to help you with suggestions, given the current market situation.

If I work for anyone, they need to be as trustworthy as my wife is. I need to be able to ‘reach out and touch them’ - and know they won’t’block my number’ all of a sudden.

Sounds like you’re bleeding down both legs at the moment.

You can bill the shipper and receiver but it's doubtful they'd pay, depends how big the scratch was on the trailer. We need to see pictures, then we can proceed with best legal advices.

No he can’t. The carrier is the only one he could sue, involving the shipper/receiver will just be a waste of money and is frivolous.

What exactly are you attempting to bill the customer for? You're not the motor carrier.

Cant sue shopper/receiver but if they do a lot of work with this company i would reach out about that, I wouldn’t want to work with anyone who doesn’t pay their bills
Small claims and the labor board for the carrier

    Opendeckin and nikmirbre Thank this.
