Well made the mistake of changing over to Straight Talk for my phone and internet service and failed to read the fine print that I would not have internet coverage outside of my service area. That is a crock of #### but oh well will suffer through it this month and find another service.

Figured up I would have just enough time to make it to Houston by doing a split sleeper and putting myself back on daylight driving time instead of pushing onward through the darkness last night. No word yet from back haul about a load tomorrow, hoping to snag something out west as I will be do a PM when I return to GP and I am hoping to get that done on the road.

Sorry to hear about your continued problems SSB. Seems like 3 or so of the last 10 trips out of GP my trailer has also had a problem that should have been caught (missing mud flap, bent rim and flat tire). Luckily they were all taken care of quickly but I certainly feel your pain with our maintenance facility.

Sorry about your mechanical troubles ssb.. I just got my truck out the shop 2 weeks ago and I'm about to throw it right back in. My truck made it to my anniversary date and decided to go to hell. I hope it gets better for you. Last week I had to send a nasty but professional message over the qual com about lionel . On my trip to sa i sent a message on when I would be empty on thursday.my delivery was for tuesday night so throughout monday I left backhaul 3 messages just trying to see if they had a load already. If not I was gonna stop at gp and go home till Tuesday evening. I never received a call back so I kept on my way just in case they did. Tuesday morning I left a cpl more voicemail for the same reason but really jusy wanted to know so I could figure out how to run my day. Wensday afternoon I finally called pat. Explained the whole situation to him and how I been empty since Tuesday night and he finally got them to call me. Lionel ended up giving me a load to laredo at 2pm which picked up at 4pm and I automatically told him that can't be done. He proceeds to say call the broker and see what they say. So I tried keot getting a busy signal and called Lionel back. Told him of the situation and he saif keep calling and hung up on me. I'm wondering doed Lionel have a choice or say in who gets which backhaul or is he just the messenger? This week hasn't been bad. Actually abnormally great if you look back at my past 3 months . Fairly thankful

I think Lionel is just the messenger, but not totally sure. Still no excuse.

I agree with JD...I think he's just the guy who has to deal with calling us. I honestly wish they'd start a SMS message system as an optional way of getting your backhaul info. It would save him loads of time...type and send, then once you get it you send a 'got it' message. Coyote has that option and it works great.

My customer took the load when I got there...and didn't have any issues with me being late. I never heard from the broker about the appointment being changed, so I guess I was considered late.I patiently waited after I told them I was empty...now I'm off to Pol-Tex for a GP load, then wait until Monday to pick up my homebound load which delivers Wednesday evening...then off until Monday. According to John it appears that my assigned truck is still not ready, so I'll be in yet another loaner...If I break them all....then what will we do?????:biggrin_2554::biggrin_2551::biggrin_25512: Even after I had 2 breakdowns this week, I will still finish in the 2800's and I didn't leave until late morning on Monday.

Well kind of got the shaft myself today with a lack of a 900 but suppose it would not have changed much as nothing was available until Monday anyway. Picked up a load of some plastic in New Caney, TX with a delivery in Dallas on Monday. Picked a Tacoma, WA Sam's load that delivers on Friday. Hopefully they will let me get through without a PM or get it done quick while there so I can be on my way.

If you have to get another loaner SSB look for 3267, I think you mentioned looking for 3167 last time.

Using the down time to visit my cousin that I have not seen in 40 years in Conroe, TX so should at least be an enjoyable weekend.
