Ya do it... I was happy not disgruntled um mm or being starved out at last place. Now I'm just more happy and get paid a lot more. Change is good. Don't be scured. LOL NO BUS RIDES HERE.

I can pretty much get a load home to FL weekly. I know several drivers who do nothing but the southeast round trip. With Poly, Florida isn't a problem state like most companies because they will deadhead you a days travel if necessary to get a backhaul to TX. And we have several major customers that get multiple loads a week headed to Jax, Lakeland or W.Palm or if all else fails, a Valdosta...then for me out of Valdosta it's 75 miles home, then usually right back into GA for a backhaul after hometime. And the best part, All paid miles...gota love it.

I picked up some trip sheets when I was in GP the other day...they've changed them a bit. There is a new "repairs" section, and also "type of freight" section...I hope they give us some sort of guide to freight so we know if it's a "revenue" load or a "scrap" load...they way it was worded, it's something we fill out, it's above the "do not write below this line, for office use only" section

Well, I've been following this thread for quite awhile and the one thing that consistently comes across is that Poly drivers are paid well and treated with respect. I know that on the down side the trucks are older and have maintenance issues, but I believe that being paid well solidly overrides the equipment issues. So is anyone willing to tell me what the annual income works out to be? I know it varies between drivers, I just need a baseline. Meghan reached out to me and I'm thinking about moving over to Poly.

With the extra drop and pick up pay my average per mile was a shade over 0.52/mile last year. I drove a little over 132,000 miles:)

If you're the kind of driver that is a runner, not just a paid tourist, and once you learn to work Poly's system, mid-upper 60's to low 70's isn't unheard of here, if you need to make that much. We have drivers here that don't have many bills to pay, so they don't need to run it into the ground.

Thanks for all of the information. I'm going to fill out the application and get it faxed this weekend.

    Gona write a blues song...."woke up this mornin..baaaba ba bump...my trailer dun sprung a leak.....baaaaba ba bump....now I'ma sittin...baaaaaba ba bump....about to freak....baaaaba ba bump....waitin on Fleetnet..baaaaba ba bump...to call me back.....baaaaba ba bump....so they can fix me.....baaaaab ba bump...and get me on track."

Went to leave this morning and the service side of one of my trailers brake chambers was leaking bad enough that I don't want to risk driving it to my delivery since I have 1 OK scale and who knows how many TX DOT'S waiting for me between here and there.

I've seen plenty of newer trailers, but not behind my truck. I've seen mostly the old OTRX 21##'s and low 22##'s

And I just got off the phone with outbound...lots going out tomorrow. I chose something new...a flatbed load going to west TX. 800+ mile round trip. Deliver load and deadhead back...and back on the Friday board...really loving this place more and more

So is the flatbed load strapped and ready to go and when you deliver just take the straps off and let them unload it? Gotta be a money maker for a 400 mile deadhead.
