Ok...did I fall into the Twilight Zone? Late yesterday afternoon I wrote up my truck for a B service and have them check on the few other issues including checking the exhaust system to make sure they got the rest of the clamps tight. They finished the B service last night...then this a.m. about the time I pulled down the sunshade and head to the drivers room...the mechanic came to get my truck...and before noon, it's sitting back out in front of the drivers room all done...Wow...something new for me...I'm speechless... :biggrin_25521:

So, I know there may be some mention of the terminal facilities in this thread somewhere but I have jet lag, my rheumatism is acting up and my bunions are swollen plus I'm too lazy to re-read this thread. So could someone please give me a synopsis of what the terminals are like, what's in each (laundry, showers so forth)? I gather there's three factories/whs but does each have driver accommodations?

grand prairie has driver lounge with tv,restroom, basics. the other 2 have nothing, just warehouse and scales in cottage grove,mn, henderson,nv and a recycling plant in mont belvieu, tx there really not terminals, im surprised gp doesnt have more, there is a gym and a shower above shop but seems to be mainly used by office and factory employees and is only one shower not very private. most drivers bobtail out to do laundry etc

In fact I am doing just that. Did my laundry in the cheapo laundry place in GP, then headed for my usual truckstop...the Love's in Hutchins.

Just like the difference between Poly trucking and regular trucking companies, like you said, we don't have terminals like regular trucking companies. Just production facilities, and the main office of both Poly America and Poly Trucking are at the GP production and warehouse complex. When I say complex it truly is a complex. I believe they said our GP property is 800 acres and I hear rumors that the construction going on is going to be yet another warehouse. I also heard a rumor that improved drivers facilities may be included and our bobtail parking area and ready line will be back there as well...but I can't get anyone to confirm it.

Oh, and I almost forgot...Poly's driver's lounge has something that most of the Crete terminals did away with...free coffee...

i will say that everytime i go thru my paystubs and chk my trips it seems to cheer me up, i dont think hearing yrly gross pay from drivers really matters when u dont kno what theyre doing, for what ive made, how hard ive worked i cant really complain. of course on those bad days i think we all think we should be paid more.

Since they have a factory in Henderson does that mean they hire out of Nevada? I am moving there in November.

im a little confused on the stop pay as far as not turning in paperwork, say i take a trip from gp and end up at cg then take a trip out of cg and end up at polywest, then out of poly west and so on, should stop pay start over at poly west if i dont turn paperwork in or do we have to there, im sure its on here but maybe someone can clear it up for me
