I got my backhaul....kinda. I know the broker, and the 2 pickup cities and the delivery location. However, the broker hasn't heard back from the 2nd pick up yet, soooooooo...they won't pass along any of the pertinent info such as who and the specific where. I just know I pick up in Ocala at noon tomorrow and then pick up the second in Tifton...it does deliver to one of our few drop customers...Tuesday Morning in Farmers Branch. I have already got myself on the weekend board because once I deliver, I have to get a windshield replaced.

I would not put too much stock in those HOD's from northern tool , I had picked up 2 , and devised a carriage from 2 parts of an old metal Gazebo frame , they fit right into the holes on the HOD's , all I had to do is mark the spot on the back of the truck , put them up , attach my Vuqube to the mount which was attach to the carriage , and slip it into the handles on demand. It was a charm a 15 minute set up and 15 minute breakdown. Within a year those things wouldn't maintain the suction and the Vuqube came down. Luckily I had only to order the new dome , the dish and motor wasn't damaged. But so much for that , worked great for a year though. Also a drastic temp change and goodbye, they do work pretty good on glass , which is the basic use for the HOD. Glass specialists use em pretty regularly. I won't be using them as a step or to pull myself up any time soon.
Here's , a thought for ya , if it's on the front left or front right corner , cant the trailer so the corner is near the rear of cab behind the driver side , and use the faring supports as a ladder , I've scaled the back a few times to replace a light. NOT recommended in snow or Ice though for sure. Remember this snackbar , if you call fleetnet and are 10 minutes from an international dealership or service point , if Mike or Tom see it is as risking the zero liability to drive, you're told to shut down and a wrecker is called. Poly has plenty of big bucks to the point 119.00 is chump change to them. They'll pay 400.00 for a wrecker to avoid 10minutes of risking the zero liability policy ...don't feel guilty.

Kinda' makes ya' wonder why they dicker around trying to save a nickle when the truck is in the company shop doesn't when they'll pour money out when it's an 'on the road' repair.

There is a sports complex (baseball field, etc) just north of the Target. It is off the main road to target but you will see it to the RHS. I have parked there during the day with no problems, it is a big area in which to park. I do not remember seeing any signs about no parking there so it might be worth a shot.

Made it out of Boston in one piece but Monday was a tough day rolling up into Delaware. Was on a way to the upper Adirondacks today to pick up a load to Houston but that got canned as I have to go rescue another load going to Tully, NY for 0500. Oh well hopefully will get something decent coming back and I plan on taking the long way around to miss that coming ice storm across the Tenn/Oh valley. Sitting right at 20K miles for the year thus far so not too shabby. Got a #### stress headache I think that I can't break due to this NE run:) Stay safe out there guys and run around that ice flow if necessary:)

They ended up pulling my Tifton stop off my backhaul due to a delay in production, but the Ocala stop had more stuff to ship, so I had a full trailer going to Farmers Branch. Got back to GP, got my windshield replaced, talked to International guy about fixing my battery HVAC recall, and got my next outbound assigned. He had 3 or 4 left for Saturday (on Thursday afternoon). I am headed to University Park for Monday. Rolling right along.

*Update, International guy managed to squeeze my recall into his day, so now I am good to go for summer.

Guess that storm just went thru Kansas it's all iced up here. But not storming. BH is Iowa City to UN.... so I imagine it will only get worse as I head north. Going the long way around too. No back highways for me. I usually always take fastest shortest route. But not in this crazy stuff.
