    It's like this, my people preach goal too, and it's a good program but......

    So I do, go take a look, I need the exercise anyway and here's the but just like the last mile, the world changes rapidly minute to minute. Everything could be different back there time I reach the front, release brakes and look back in the mirror.

    And no mirror decal or q.c. msg. is going to stop backing incidents.

    A lot should do the " G O A L " and thats Get Out And Leave , sad to see some that cannot backup a tractor trailer but still have a CDL.

    And before the :biggrin_2553: begins , Im not talking about only the drivers just starting out .

    I haven't done this. I see it as a waste of money. If Swift has money to waste, how about giving me a safety bonus?

    Just be glad they aren't installing key pads on the back of the trailers and making you type it from there. Honestly whats to stop you from sending it after you back in. They have no way of knowing whether anyone actually gets out of the truck....yet.

    OMG don't give them any ideas!

    What about a driver's seat pressure sensor that will disengage Reverse gear until seat pressure is at zero for 1.2 minutes (the time it takes to walk back to GOAL and come back to the seat)?
    Next thing you know there will be a separate line on Swift logs to denote backing time--mechanics pulling ECM's to check against your logs.
