I hate to agree, but I can't deny it...I try my hardest to get to my final ASAP, so I can get another load. I never want to sit. Unfortunately I either sit for hours on end, sit every weekend, or the few times they do preplan me, the shipper drags butt until I'm late on the next load and sometimes the one I'm on...

4.5 hours waiting...I got a feeling I ain't going anywhere fast...
-
This is very true. And when I was there, every time Clifford made a video for the driver lounges, or wrote a few words in the newsletter, he always had to mention VEVA (Vision for Economic Value Added). That always annoyed me. As if throwing around a few overused and ambiguous business terms was gonna make a difference in how drivers felt about the way they were being treated. -
Where is your school? -
try this place
-
It is in Fort Wayne ,Indiana i start there Monday morning
-
Yea, they told me all that stuff too. Also about the home time. If you come back to work on a Monday, Y ou would need to finish that week. Then work two more weeks. Then they would want you to have your hometime on the weekend. They talked to me about the regional thing. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm starting to get this feeling inside. When I feel like this, something really bad usually happens. I hope this feeling is wrong.

I know what you mean about that feeling.
As far as the deal with hometime, that is BS...When I signed my contract and was given this job it said 1 thing, and now they want to change it to something else.
I also ask what happens when I want to take a few days off for something I've had planned? I was told to talk to him when the time gets closer and we will work with it then...BS...If I work how many ever weeks I should get that many days. Regional lets you be home every weekend so what is it hurting someone OTR to be home a few extra days??? -
You could always stay out 4 weeks and stay home 4 days. Sure... they'll threaten to tow your truck and stuff. But where I park my truck, they can have fun trying to do that... USA likes to use scare tactics.
But like I said earlier... Hometime isn't 'given' to us by USA, Hometime is something we earn and since it is something we earn we can take it whenever and wherever we want to, should be no questions asked.
Depending on where all this goes, I'm going to start calling the companies I've been looking at sometime next month. -
it all depends on your fm......
