i started with usa 4 months ago. I HATE how i never have my next load by the time i get MT from my current load.
they should not have to wait for my MT call to send the next load.
I have started sending in MT calls hours before I am acutally MT. becuase it usually takes 45 mins to an hour to get a load, after you send in your MT call.
If your are in certain parts of the counrty, it will take days to get a load.
Like i delivered a ld to northwest PA, and I had 6 hours left to drive for the day.
but no loads, I had to wait there 15 hours, then they gave me a load picking up back home (240 miles away) and they were not paying me for the mt miles.
they said, were not gonna pay you to go home for the weekend.
you can either go home or take a different load and not go home.
and I am regional, and am supposed to be home every weekend. -
Do you get the same pay being regonial down in TX, as i do in the northeast?
i got bumped up from .26 cpm to .30 to go the northeast.
and shorter loads, like less than 200 miles pay as much as .34. the really short ones pay .41 i think.
and my FM SUCKS. he never takes the time to explain anything to me that i am confused about. stay away from fleet 37 -

i wish i went with a company based up north. I feel like they would be more professional. Like one of those companies based in WI or IA.

you don't need a signed bill to send an mt call in.
where it says proof of delivery name i just always put jim. -
If they send you a load assignment, 240 miles dead head, whether it goes near your house or not its still a load and the miles are paid. The weekend of the 4th I was in Dallas, caught a load 7/1 to York PA, my fm told me to go thru the house, see my kids, and I got all the miles.
While I'm not calling you a liar, your statement seems suspect regarding the empty miles. If its true you certainly have an issue. As for you having to wait for a load, do you think you are the only one who is waiting? You sending an empty call hours before you actually empty is a feeble attempt to circumvent a system that's already slow. And whether you think so or not, do you think they don't recognize what your doing, jim?
Sending a bogus empty call, is misrepresenting the truth. They may be slow, disorganized, and sometimes unresponsive, but they are not stupid. Your credibility is diminished each time you do that. Makes one wonder, what else is going on? -
