columbus montana. stopped here at pilot to fuel and spend the nite. had 20 min on my 11 and drove 576 miles. had some nice rain between bozeman and here.

 

sorry about your brother steve. hope you can take care of everything quickly.

 

I wish I had been able to. He didn't have a will so his estate will end up in probate. I bought his daughter a car so she'd be able to shuttle my mother around. I left mostly so I could make it home in time for my family vacation.

Thank to everyone for their condolences. It hit me especially hard today that he's gone and I'll never see him again.

 

took a load to Manteca which I have not been to since december, was supposed to get a General Mills out of Stockton but the mt turned to a sweep so had to get the load removed which also removes extra pay. Shut down in Lathrop since I have to do a sim tomorrow or go on safety hold.

This mornings delivery was fun. It was underground in a cave.
It's the second time I've had the experience.
Very tight corners, and very tight backing in. But enough room if the tandems are not back too far and I take my time.

And now I'm headed for Denver for some home time, to see my oldest little one graduate from high school and the take all the kids to the zoo the next day.

I've had a few good weeks so I'm able to give Luana a good amount of cash for her graduation/birthday present (she needs cash to get her own place in Greely, where she is going to college next year), get hotel rooms for all of us and take them all to the zoo.

I'm a happy camper, but I'll be a zombie by the time Wednesday night rolls around.

 

With the new rule we might have to be down 48 just to get a 34.

mitchell,sd. at i-90 travel center. guess it was a pilot before cause thats what my t/s book says lol. load finally got an appt time. 1st stop was 0730 the 23 and final is for the 27 at mid day. so much for high focus load lol. called dl and he said to keep going(stopped for 30 min break whewn i called him) and he see about tcalling it. finally got a message tcalling in edwardsville terminal tomorrrow by 1500. thats doable lol. drove 629 miles today in same amount of time i drove yesterday(576 miles)

It's worse if you are the night runner in a team. I'm in the middle of a reset that will be 54 hours. The new 34 rules are absolutely ridiculous.
