Missoula, MT.
Just over 1200 miles to home time in MN. SO looking forward to it since I haven't been there for 4 months. I've spent the last few with the girls in Denver.
They wanted me to t-call the load on the 19th by 0645, but I didn't like that time.
I sent a mac 22 putting the eta at 1200, just so I could take my time a bit more.
I told them that since the load has plenty of time I'm not pushing real hard, and to tell me if it's not ok.
From there I'm hoping to run the eastern half of the country for a while. Since Leann got on the truck a month ago we have only been running the northwest states, and it's getting old. -
Ugggggh! Terminal in Laredo ....it's hot but not as humid as I know it can be thx god......

I love driving up to Vegas to meet Steve for some fun. We usually stay at The Orleans because of truck parking but it's easy to find good deals online. the Luxor was nice, definately stay on the strip. The Platinum has huge 2 person jacuzzi tubs if your into that sort of thing...

Left out of Buttonwillow, CA this morning, and now on the side of the road. Blown steer tire. So much for this hyper focus load getting delivered on time. Last night MAC 30, 2 offeres, both 250 miles mt to Reno and back to CA, one was Fresno and the other was Rancho. Nope. Not getting stuck with a Friday evening del in CA. Good chance of getting stuck most of the weekend.

My student did a great job driving I-84 from Idaho over the Blue Mountains. Cabbage Hill didn't impress him, but he understands winter conditions will be another story.
Made our delivery a day early, with my student executing a nice blindside off the street. Shopped Wal-Mart and pulled into The Gearjammer. I ordered breakfast and sure enough, got a nice dispatch with a t-call in Memphis. I'll need to remember to order a meal in the future if I want a dispatch. -
Have been having problems with the DPF system lately. Took the truck to SLC KW for a check and advise. They recommended a 'flow test' and cleaned the DPF diesel injector and recommended replacing the EGR valve. I gave the go ahead but they had a hard time getting the EGR valve off the block as it was rusted to it. They showed me the brand new machined edge of the EGR valve where it is supposed to marry up to the EGR 'support' which was very rusted. they did not have one in stock and ordering one would take sitting the whole weekend and Monday or Tuesday. I just told him to clean the rust off as best he could and I would hit the road. Still showing check engine light occasionally but no loss of power and mpgs for last 2 loads 7.1. Both loads were 43k. We are in Indianapolis now, will order that part when we get home and get another flow test done to make sure there are no more problems down the line in the system.
