going east I always stop at that Shell with the Burger King a for a pit stop and walk Abby around the little trails.
Going west I stop there again to log a brake check before going on down the hill.
I would do a 10 up there but I'm such a degenerate gambler, the TA in Sparks beckons with the Western Village Casino right next door with its Craps table ol. Plus down the street is an old time abandoned quarry filled with water that they have turned into a park that Abby likes to hike around.
Sitting in puyallup WA taking care of a few things, guess I'll mosey back to Sumner and pick up my trailer and see what is shaking for freight. Made the mistake of arriving to the terminal at 0100, the guy signed my BOL at 0108 so I am missing out on the first 1-5 am if we were to take a 34 now. -
Command can still get us loads ... they just can't stack us. Swift planners have first crack at our truck. If they offer us nothing but junk, then Command is allowed to give us a load.

Santa Rosa, NM with a sears load for Romeoville. First was del on Sunday, then plus 1 kicks in and says deliver on Friday. Then so that I can play with my hours some, CSR says del on Sat morning. Then will be getting a load starting to head back South. El Paso was screwed up yesterday. One pplan, no weights and del to Concordia, MO for Friday evening, nope, then a 2nd pplan, pu yard, 8/4 and del 8/6, at least that was what was on my phone and then when it comes across the QUALCOMM, still pu 8/4 and no delivery appt, for CA Friday nite, and also no weights. You you would think that if the load is sitting there on the yard and they have the BOL, they know the weight.

In WI off I-94 just east of Milwaukee in a town I can't spell or pronounce at a customer that just took nearly 6 hours to unload me using #%$@!!! lumpers.
I'm well past my 14 so I'm taking my 10 in the customers parking lot. At least they are OK with that, but I'd imagine it happens quite often here.
Tonight I'm headed to the Costco in Morris to pick up a load going to IA.
Around 300 miles loaded with a 0500 delivery, so I don't have to pick up before 2200 or so. -
loves in fairview tx for the night. delivered that load this morning in forrt worth and then went to dallas to pick this load up. had about 2.5 hrs left to drive, so drove here. have about 160 mile to houston for the 0800 delivery.

This morning my girls comes through. PU in Ottawa on Saturday at PetsMart, one that loads light, first stop Monday in Tyler, then a stop and final in McAllen on Tuesday. Time enough to grab a short one for Wednesday and finish the week some what decent.

On I-405, stuck in traffic, crawling to the I-90 eastbound interchange in heavy Seattle area rush hour. My student's at the wheel and managing space and gears well.
Last night we dropped a trailer at Sumner, then found a nice empty only to be told it was "in shop status" on the phone with JV. Went into the dispatch window at the terminal and they said it was "hooked to another driver" that was already on a load. They put the trailer on us and we drove north of Everett and stayed the night in the Cabella's truck parking lot in Tulalip, then proceeded to Blaine to swap for a loaded trailer coming over the border.
The swap trailer finally crossed the border early this afternoon. We're headed to Montgomery, AL. Should be a good run for my student. I want him to get a taste of all the mountains in the west. Hopefully the delays going over Snoqualmie Pass won't be too bad, what with the blasting and construction.
