went to vegas and had a sterrilite load added from Lake Havasu, now shut down at the last rest area before Barstow off the 40 a little after Ludlow. I volunteered to be on standby tomorrow since my wife has some friends coming from out of town and we plan to have a little fun with them.

Dropped a load this morning, nice and easy. It only took about 20 minutes.

I pick up a load tonight at the P&G in Neelys, MO going to TX. I'll drop it by 2200 tomorrow night, so hopefully I can start working back into a daytime schedule.
I really hate driving all night!

BUT AND A BIG BUT its going to Hattiesburg, MS and it's f'in 14' trailer I saw the bills and handed them right back to the person at the desk. I said sorry can't take this . Of course the why can't you take it was next .
I said that the state of Mississippi does not want them. So now I have to wait for planners to get me another load home. And I have a freakin VA appointment on Monday, that o have been waiting for for 35 weeks and no iam not joking on the wait time for VA

    Speedway in London, OH

Fueling up for our next load headed for buffalo, NY where the temps aren't supposed to get much higher than the low 80s. I might break a little bit of a sweat tomorrow. Co-driver is taking us to the OH/PA border where I will take over.

Strange event of the day: I accidentally murdered two geese this morning on I-81 in VA. They were just sitting in the middle of my lane and evidently didn't see me as a threat until it was too late. They started waddling, then when they realized I was a threat they spread their wings but it was too late (there was a car in the lane beside me and I wasn't about to slam on brakes for a couple of birds). Pulled into the next rest area just to make sure they didn't damage anything and to make sure I didn't have a carcass hanging around somewhere in my undercarriage, didn't see a trace of the birds but I certainly heard them thump and bang around under my truck and I saw an explosion of feathers behind me in my mirrors.

    RIP my feathery friends.
