Try chocolates. Flowers didn't do anything for me.

I'm waiting for a live load in Charlotte, headed to Ohio. This is my second load using Mac-30, and I'm rather digging the idea of having a choice of loads.

My first student upgraded to solo two days ago, I put in a Mac-25 to make myself available for a student today, but haven't heard anything from Driver Development. Not sure if they want to route me all the way back to Jurupa Valley to pick up another student or whether I can pick up a student at another terminal. My DM said to call DD in other terminals close by to see if they need a mentor.

Moose, I guess that you got lucky. I must of made the planners mad at me. Was sent another pplan from my DM, and more crap. Pick up tomorrow and del 500 miles on Friday at 1400 west of Albuqureque. Can see that this is starting to be a crap week to start. Where to am I going to find a decent load in that area Friday afternoon. Delivery over by Gallup

Watch out about going to another terminal early. I have seen company mentors show up at a terminal on Monday and not get a load because they are waiting for class to finish on Wednesday, and then get a student. You will be routed to a terminal that needs one, not route you all the way back to CA>

I was hoping to get to a terminal today, take a 34, and be ready to roll with a student on Friday. That would have been ideal. Yesterday I took a little load within NJ off a Mac-30, waiting to hear back from DD. After not hearing from them I took a load to South Carolina. Still nothing, so now I'm headed to Ohio.

It's disconcerting, maybe a Jurupa Valley issue (and I know they are hiring more folks in DD), but I've never had a return phone call and VERY rarely ever had a QC response from DD when I had my student. He had the same experience.

Finished my load from Sumner WA to Cuyahoga Falls OH. Sometime in the last couple days Abby hurt her foot so dropped the trailer at the terminal and took her to Petsmart Banfield pet hospital locally and while she was in getting worked up, I went on down to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and spent some money up in there . On our way to Atlanta GA tonite looking for a 3100 mile week.

I've stopped worrying about making planners mad, or about a short load or two when I get back.
Personally I don't really think they pay attention to driver codes or truck numbers, just loads that need to get done.
I don't know how many times I've turned down several loads in a row via Mac 9 with adjusted times, just to get a sweet one just after. If I was really making them mad I don't think that would happen.

Yes, I lucked out this time. But more often than not I've had the short in-town run before something better comes along, often times just to secure an mt.
This time I held on to my mt, which may have made a difference.

Still in Phoenix. Finally got my truck back from the shop and again it took a total of 3 days for B-Serv, fix the chip in the windshield and a minor repair under warranty from Cummins. Truck released from shop at 4pmMT and system set my PTA for 5pm. Nope, not starting a 14 after being up all day which will push me into running at night again. Pushed it out to midnight to get a little sleep. Haven't seen any offers yet.
Scored some nice goodies for cheap at the cargo store though..the one upside to being stuck here.

Picked up a load of used tires in albuquerque, nm heading to santa fe springs, ca. I'm currently at route 66 casino. I've been getting very lucky lately. I've been home every weekend & still running 2600 miles a week.
