Taking a break and send a message asking for the actual del window and get a reply, can not give it. Go by the time on dispatch. It is a drop at Sam's in Loveland.

That is the kind of response I expect from the night and weekend people.
    Not helpful at all.

When that happens I'll just do a Mac 22 with the time I expect to be there.
Drops usually have a window. And when I'm told that they 'can not give it', it just mean that there really IS a window but they simply don't want to divulge the information.
    Total BS.

    I guess I won't be getting a 34 after all.
Just got a pplan to pick up a load by 1700 tomorrow and deliver by 2000, 120 miles away.

Considering that I am being paid $230 per day for this surge, I don't mind the short run.

Same thing they told me before I left, no delivery windows wll be given to the drivers anymore. I was told my only choice was to adjust the times in mac 9. Well I had another little trick up my sleeve, just set the Mac 2 time out a couple hours and see if it accepts the time or not. If not then I know there is no window.

Let's see, ATL to CLE a then del in DET. reload in Detroit going to ALBU and final in LA. See if they have a shorty load going north for hometime otherwise will deadhead 350 miles.

I don't know how you dry van drivers do it. The rudeness of the folks ya'll have to deal with tries my patience to the max. Finally got out of frieghtliner and Swift decided to let some other driver pick up my loaded trailer without letting me know. So he also got 16 chains and binders of mine that were securing said load. So now I get to pull a box up to the Gary terminal so I can get resupplied. Picking up tomorrow south of Lexington and dropping Friday morning either at Gary or in New Lennox when they make up there mind. Got sent to Georgia Pacific in Lexington to grab an empty and the gate nazi says I won't be getting one there. I told him he needed to call someone and figure out what was going on which he begrudgingly did and sheepishly walked back over telling me to come on in and grab my trailer. I don't know how you folks do it day in and day out. I would have had to quit a long time ago probably if our flatbed shippers and receivers were like this. My temper still gets the best of me some times though I am working on it.

The loaded call goes on the load assignment time, not the actual window.

I know that there is a window. Load info says del 8/22 @ 0001-0015. She told me today that according to the system I can not make that delivery because of my hours. I have it figured that I can be there by 1800 tomorrow with about 2 hours to spare. It was the new girl at IGH that told me that can not give me the window.

Omaha, NE. Talked to my DM this morning due to a trailer problem at the shipper. They changed the trailer that they were loading and no one at Swift knew so the system had me attached to 3 trailers. When got that problem solved I told my DM, just watch, Denver is going to have me bend over for a load home and get me about 140-200 miles from home. She said that no, they will not. Within 1 hour, a pplan, beer load to Jackson, MI. Then the pplan was sent a again with a t-call at Gary with a message saying that they will find me something from there to Ohio, not home, but Ohio. Ohio is a large state. T-call was going to be on Sunday. Many here know what it can be like getting a load out of Gary on a Sunday. So I declined saying that want to see a backup load to home, not Ohio, but home. Within 10 minutes, removed. Tells me, they had nothing. Tomorrow can be fun. My DM talked to my old DM about what it going on, so I know that I will get something.

Taking a break now. Found out that my dm tried to place a Illinois load on me and then a back up to home and Denver and their games, pulled it. She tried twice. After this load, Denver just made it to the top of never again.
