At some Indie truckstop on I-10 just inside AZ from Cali.
Went to Mira Loma..uh, I mean Jarupa Valley to get an mty trl this morning. Finally found one after blowing an hour hunting. No matter what they call it it's still the same PITA to deal with.
Headed up to San Bernadino to the shipper to do my drop n hook. Figured I'd be in and out and on the road. Wasn't to be. Shipper decided to make it a live load and then proceeded to take 7 hours to do it. Pretty much wasted most of my drive time for the day. This one will most definitely get a mac22 for delivery in Houston.

my wife and I have played around in my cascadia but if it came to sleeping it would not be large enough unless we both slept on our sides the entire night and kept still.
Rattlebunny Thanks this. -

I actually got this trailer from an "area" for Walmart on the backside of the docks. A yard dog asked me what I was doing and I said looking for an mty.
He he said he'd look the other way and for me to grab one, which I did. I was blown away and thanked him several times!! What a nice guy to let me have one!! -
yeah...i've gone there b4and got one. next time i went they wouldn't give me one lol. guard said drivers just sneak in and steal them. drive by shack and dont stop. he said all they can do is get the truck # and report it.
HousTank Thanks this. -
Rifle, CO waiting at a customer after picking up a trailer that was loaded in December, then brought back twice before by drivers that waited to scale the load in Denver. It's 600 lbs over gross. Waiting for our CSR to get with their CSR and figure out they need to drop a pallet.
I scaled the load a mile down the street. Both drivers that waited to scale it in Denver before t-calling it quit Swift. There are no CAT scales between Grand Junction and Denver, so they must not have known they could scale the load locally. Of course that would mean running the Rockies three times to get paid once.Rattlebunny and HousTank Thank this. -
Just after midnight yesterday morning my trainee and I were supposed to catch a bus from Casper to Grand Junction to pick up an abandoned truck at a Love's. The bus was cancelled due to hazardous driving conditions. So we grabbed our hotel room keys and slept until the morning shift at Jurupa Valley arrived, then talked them in to getting us a drive through rental car.
Unpacked our truck in Casper, loaded the car, and got to Grand Junction at 11:00 pm and found the truck. It took four hours to clean the truck and get our stuff situated. -
You should get $200 for that recovery as well.

Wait, what?
Two different drivers picked up that overweight load in Rifle CO and tcalled it in Denver CO and the terminal had them both return it all the way back to the shipper for re-work (which the shipper did not do)?
