Mission tx. Did a two drop Kmart with a 2300 mile Oregon run stacked on me for a pickup at 2200 tonight. Team time with the trainee, I decided I'd help him with the two drops. The 2nd was a drop hook. The hook was to a old 54 series past annual inspection and in need of 3 tires.

    I've had it.

I called DM got directions to the Pharr tx yard I'm dropping this pile, sending a Mac 38 on it, and going to bed before I start driving tonight. All in all its cost me 90 min of bs. Shuttling crap around. In so sick of lazy swift drivers who set the real drivers up for failure. I called my DM heated.

The guy who dropped it gets a service failure now.

Every effed up trailer I find I'm going to push for a service failure on the previous driver. Although he's only getting it because he drove a trailer past its annual inspection.

    Bed time.

    I'm done whining lol.

Columbus, Ohio. Waiting on a load that will hopefully take me through the weekend.

I had the same issue with a trailer the other day. Not sure if the previous driver missed the flat tires but I got stuck with a bad empty that I had to bring to the shop costing me time and making my load late for pickup.

It has happened to all of us.
And I'm sure all of you 'great' drivers check out every trailer as you drop it for defects, and take the time to report it.

I've done a post trip with everything checking out fine, only to have a flat tire the next morning.

My truck went to the shop yesterday afternoon for a flat drive tire. It was fine in the morning, but had picked up a nail and was flat a few hours later.
    Stuff happens.
All of the indignant attitudes won't change that fact.

And one FACT is that we sometimes use a trailer that has an out of date inspection because it is the only one available to us.
Sometimes it seems that the trailer has been sitting for quite some time, and it may have been within the inspection dates when it was last dropped.

There are many reasons why something might be wrong with a trailer when we pick it up, and not all of them involve negligence on the part of the previous driver.

What was the reason that they gave to require the sleep study?
    Where was your physical done?

I'm curious because during my last physical no questions were even asked relating to this, and no mention made of it.

    And I agree with you.
If they ever make me go through that I think I would be looking for my next occupation.

moose...he stated cause my weight and neck size met the so called criteria. also that i'm over 50(53 in june), take 2 high bood pressure medicine and that he said my throat inside was smaller than usual. he saw this standing 5 feet from me flashing a lite inside me and making me cough. but at same time while doing that, he made a humming sound and a tsk sound. i'm sure he made a decision before he started the so called exam. it was the concentra on milliken rd in ontario. its about 4-5 miles from jv terminal

dptrucker you should get ahold of OOIDA. There are currently no regulations require sleep apnea testing. In the meantime what I recommend is go to any other place right now and get a new 2 year DOT physical, turn it in to the DMV. This way you're CDL is safe at least. Swift won't accept any other DOT physical but 1000 other companies will. Usually can get hired with a DOT physical less than 90 days old at most companies no questions asked.
