Done quite a few ... get the inspection done the night before you drop ... the terminal can be a mess in the morning for inspections.
Give the inspection sheet to the transfer agent.
Technically it is a tcall ...so your DM or go by the window at the terminal after you drop to have your mt call and dispatch done. You will be dropping. Generally the transfer agent doesn't have mts. But on occasion they do and will require you to take one.
The transfer yards can sometimes be a little tight. But nothing that you haven't seen running in the NE. As matter of fact Laredo, as far as trucking, is a lot like NJ. If you can handle NJ you can handle Laredo.
Killam is easy to get to. Next exit down from the terminal.

That's one of the easy ones except the QC GPS will try to take you a half block past the driveway. Its on the NE corner of Killam Industrial and Jeff Dr. and the driveway is on the east side of the building . This one is always a drop.

At the Petro in north Little Rock. In the mood for hittin' the buffet.
Made my drop at Ashley in Ecru this morning. Drove in rain most of the way down but 20 miles down US-78 from Memphis it just got downright fierce. Luckily it went to just sprinkles as I pulled in the gate.
Grabbed an mty and went bck up to Olive Branch for my preloaded trailer going to Goddard KS. This one has a tad too much time but I don't care as this week is over 3200. I'm leaving here early and should be up there around lunch time. Doesnt deliver until 07:00 Wednesday so I'm just going to eat, sleep and relax. I'll be jumping on mac30 ASAP hopefully before Edwardsville gets me. -

Still sitting here. What a bunch of messed up pplans. Have be sent one 3 times. Chips from here to HEB in San Antonio. Deliver at 2100 on Thursday. Three days for 900 miles and then when mt, where park. Then sent 2 that picked up 1 day before PTA was set. Then this morning, one for Everett, WA with no weight and no appointment time and then another chip load to Chino, 338 miles for tomorrow morning and no back up. DM removed it which tells me that there is nothing coming out. He can not understand why all of a sudden we are getting loads that have so much time on them. The board was showing many that 1k miles and 3 days to deliver and deliver at night. What I can not understand, how many have been t-called at the terminal over the weekend. ##### Plus-1 again. It could be a load that is 1200 miles for 3 days and the system will not release it until almost 2 days to deliver.

Douglas, GA.
I made it to my first delivery this morning an hour early, even going around Atlanta at 0630. I was lucky, and going in the right direction (east).
It was 4 hours later that the lumpers finally finished up and cut me loose.
Then 70 slow miles to my next live load, but I was out of there in 35 minutes.
I got to the Walmart DC just it started to rain, and with less than 40 minutes left on my 14.
Raining? It was pouring! I got totally soaked unhooking and then finding an mt.
A Swift just before me (and the rain) bobtailed out because he couldn't find an mt. I went to the mt lot and the second one I looked at was empty with both doors open. It was very clean, too. Snag.
21 minutes in and out. (and very, very wet)
Then I headed for the only real truck stop in town, about 3.5 miles through town.
I went off duty with 8 minutes remaining. Too close. -
At the Flying Eagle TS on the west side of Wichita KS 8 miles from my live unload at 7am. Just had a thunderstorm roll through that dumped golf ball sized hail for about one minute. Awesome!!
Rolled nonstop to here from Little Rock so I could enjoy eating and sleeping the rest of the day.
Planners sent me a ppln as I was parking, a 350 miler from close by down to Dallas near Lancaster. Light load with D/Hs at both ends. At first I was like "Oh Yeah!!" cuz I thought I could drop at final Wednesday afternoon and push my miles up over 3500 for the week. After doing some serious calculations however I will be 18 minutes short on my 70. Will have to wait till late in the delivery window and dump it Thursday morning.
Have home time in Houston next week so I'm sure Lancaster is gonna jack me around doing regional stuff for the next 7 days.
