You need to make it more fun hit up a theme park, or Vegas... worst part all of you trying to get loads after the meet up. In AZ it's HOT. On a side note Swift donated thousands of dollars of school supplies to a local AZ school district.

    At the Montebello drop yard......again.

Spent 6 hours at a shipper picking up auto parts headed to Phoenix. I'd whine but they did let me back in 3 hours early AND I was the first out (out of 7 trucks) so I'll keep quiet. Home tomorrow night then a 6:30 delivery Sunday morning.

Was talking with a Swift lease op a few years back, he was trying to organize about 50 or more Swift drivers to put their hometimes in around the NASCAR race locations and schedule.

I'd pay money for THAT to happen.
In reality NO ONE would make it!

At a T/A on I-81 just north of the MD border.

Finished up my AL to Moosic, PA load. Saw no Moose Barf while there:)
Planners put me on a 2-stop to Costcos in Baltimore and the D.C. area with another stacked load from York, PA back to a DC on the west side of Atlanta.

Finished up the Costcos this morning. As usual, I-95 & I-695 were good for keeping my defensive driving skills fine tuned. On my way to Atlanta now.

Got stacked with three empty trailer moves this morning, got 5 miles down the road and my stop engine light came on. By the time I made it back to Lancaster the engine had derated to 55 mph. Down until at least Monday now.

    Concordia, MO at the TA.
After a nice 3 hour unload this morning I picked up our home time load. I love picking up at Swift drop yards that are easy in and out.

So we are headed to Denver for a 8/17 0730 live unload, then home time to bring Leann back.

By the way, my requested date was 8/17. So right on time.

The flying hook in Winslow. My so called preloaded trailer turned into a live. Then made a serious mistake. Instead of following my gut and going an extra 15 miles OOR I followed the GPS and came up I-17 to I-40. Should have stayed on I-10.

    Denver, CO on home time.

After a quick live unload we headed to the terminal to drop the trailer and scan paperwork.
I-70 was nearly a parking lot, and getting worse the closer we got to our exit. I finally moved over just in time to get on I-270 and took the long way around.
A truck had jack-knifed on the west bound side on the Quebec overpass.
It still hadn't been cleared by the time we left the terminal about an hour later.

Leann is back home with Mom, and she was so excited to get back.
During the 2 months on the truck she visited 31 states, so nearly 2/3 of the lower 48. Not bad.
I'm parked in the apartment parking lot until Thursday. It sure is nice to have all my space back, but I'm going to miss her being with me.

inkeper, HousTank and scottied67 Thank this.

At a Petro on I-85N 60 miles out of Atlanta. On my way to New Jersey..oh Boy :(

Finished up my run from York, PA to Atlanta this morning then went to pick up a load the planners hung on me yesterday.

Ultra heavy load of paper from inside the 285 Loop on the west side of Atlanta. An old skanky factory just off downtown in an ancient neighborhood that was never meant to see 18-Wheelers. Intersections so narrow I had to cover every lane to make turns. Finally got loaded just in time to scale at the Petro on 285 at 5pm. Have an old POS 53xxxx trailer that gave me fits moving the tandems.

Headed out into the chaos and logjam of Atlanta's afternoon rush hour. Relentless onslaught of idiot 4-wheelers all the way to where I parked.

Definitely not looking forward to going back to Jersey again. I hate it up there. Considered Mac9'ing the load off of me but it has a perfect delivery schedule to unload Wednesday.

Will put me a little over 3K miles for the week so there's an upside.
Have home time the 27th so I won't be accepting anything that's not heading in the general direction of TX when I finish this run.
