There's a rest area west bound side, always wanted to stay there in the cool summer. Further on down past the brake check area in Alta is the Burger King and gas station there, a lot of trucks stop for a 10 there. Then there's Penryn but I wouldn't try to stay there more than 2 hours, which is perfect if you already did an 8 hour sleeper break up in mid-Nevada. Last chance I can think of westbound I80 before Sactown is the Frys electronics store, forget the exit number but some trucks stay up in there too.

also Bell Rd. In Auburn has truck parking.. nice quiet place to stay. that WB rest area Scottie talks about is nice. I stayed there one night a couple winters ago
Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
Can loads are great UNLESS the wind is blowing. Caught a serious gust on I-80 east of Evanston so I stopped and checked the weather on 80 in Utah.
"35 gust 50 east of the Wasatch range".
So I'm stopped at the J in Evanston, will leave sometime after midnight to avoid the winds. -
Home!
Wasn't supposed to be home this weekend, but my load took me by the house so I stopped for a 10. Will have to get up way to early in the morning to make my delivery, but a free meal, free laundry and a free shower, plus a night in a comfy bed is worth it.
Heading for University Park, IL tomorrow then heading to Kansas City, KS for a Tuesday morning delivery. -
I went through there earlier and the wind was picking up.
Heading west and into Wendover it got a bit worse, up to 50 mph gusts west of Salt Lake. They died down before Wendover.
And my Wendover layover was a bust.
I lost at gambling, and the Peppermill buffet is no longer. I checked out the buffet at Rainbow, but it didn't appeal to me.
Oh well, can't win them all. So I'll have a simple dinner of baked beans and hot dogs tonight. -
Clinton, TN. Drop this one in Shelby, NC and then pu a Lowes DC in NC and drag to Lowes DC in Cheyenne and get it there before the payroll cutoff on Wednesday. Can get it there by 2359 on Wednesday and because of the time difference will make it by one hour. Not real sure of the weight on this one. It says 45K but can never be sure.

I will have to check that out next time, did not know about Bell road.
Yeah the rest area, would love to park up in there then hike back about 5 miles and camp out a couple days. -
Crap, Denver again

Conover, NC. Dropped my loaded trailer and found the one and only mt. Got mt dispatch and was po'd. Pick up time went from 0800 tomorrow to 1600. Call into an ECT, worthless. They say that it is preloaded and that it might just be ready since it is a holiday weekend and that Lowes might release it early. Fine. Will head up there and if not then the clock is started and then come night driving so that Can get to Cheyenne by now instead of 2359 on Wednesday 0001 on Thursday. Going to try and sneak it in early. Anyone lately been to that DC and know about getting it there early.
