    Steve do you mean a 34 hour reset? It is not mandatory. Example I had a few weeks ago, ran the 70 down to zero at 0900 AM and picking up 10 hours later at midnight. At 2345 started a 15 minute pretrip and closed out that day's log which showed 70.25 hours in 8 days recap. Started new day with 9.75 hours legal to drive.

    Well, at least I'm back on solid footing again.
    I finished up today with 1:20 still on my 70, with 12 coming in tomorrow.

    I'm in Tracy, CA at a little place that charges. But there was no place to stop en-route to my next pickup.
    I'll be going to Reno tomorrow, and I really hope I get a load headed east from there.

    That's my old stomping grounds. In hte 70's my dad owned a welding shop down the street on Larch Road.

    But then didn't Scottied violate it when he went on duty before midnight?
    All it seemed to do was subtract those minutes from what was coming in the next day.

    The E-Log system should not allow it if it wasn't legal. If a 34 was required it should have shut him down right there.
