It is in the news right on this website--

    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/prime-sues-new-york-after-state-drops-registration-fees/

Now that a New York court has ruled that the registration and decal fees the state had been charging truckers were unconstitutional,

I never put the pink sticker on my truck way back when, still in the permit book. Got on with my new company and they of course gave me a new pink sticker which is also still in the permit book. I roll in and out of NY state at will, they will not force me to put a hideous pink sticker on my truck.

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Still at home. Called DM today to let him know what is going on and all of a sudden a new dedicated account opens up for when I return from my trip. Bush's, all drop and hook and a minimum of 3200 miles per week. Out 3 weeks and home 3 days. It will be starting when I return. Also the truck payments are being put on hold. DM then also tells me that they are weeding out company drivers and that a certain group of drivers are not required to haul pork or beer. Told DM that I will think about it, but can not handle anymore of what has been going on.

What do you mean by weeding out company drivers?

Also congratulations on the dedicated gig. How did you find out about that? Is there some kind of list to put your name on?

I would be kind of weary about that look at the many times they screwed you over on a dedicated run

They are very aware of that. They know if not there when I get back, they know what I will do

After I delivered in El Cajon I headed to Otay Mesa to get my NY sticker.
    And, I was on hold.
So I grabbed a 14' that they didn't want there and headed to Jarupa to get the b-service done.

He looks on the computer and seemed surprised that it is nearly 1,400 miles over due.
Well, the messages started coming in just before I started this 1,600 mile load... so.

I would be very skeptical about that Bush Beans dedicated. I would think that would be very hard for a lease op to make a go of. You're either very heavy or empty. Loads average 40k+ and deadheads of 300+ miles are the norm. Heavy out to a DC then deadhead back.

I ran that account for 2 1/2 years, good miles yes. Became not worth it when the performance bonus came about because dedicated drivers don't get any performance bonus.

The shop noticed the oil at the front of the engine, which the Denver shop told me was only from the blowby tube, and shut me down for repairs. They said it was a 'massive' oil leak that needed to be fixed.
I wouldn't call it massive, by any means.
That will put me here for another day or two. Right now they have my PTA set for Friday.

I checked inside about getting a new truck, but the newest truck they have is a 14. I won't trade my good truck for an old 14; I want a new truck.
The guy was rather shocked when he looked up my truck.
Shocked that I've had it since it was brand new, that I had put so many miles on it, and that it hasn't been turned in yet.
He showed me the list of trucks with numbers higher than mine. Basically most of the 130XXX's.
In the first 2 screens, mine is the only one still in use.

    So, I'll wait for it.
And anyway, it will be cool to be the one to see it retired.

Thanks for the info. We are still talking about it. If it does not feel right when I get back from my trip the truck gets turned in. But a question now. are the mt miles paid loaded, and any way, I do not get performance bonus anyway

Squeak the only dedicated account that O/O run that I know anything about is the Kohls out of Corsicana Tx. Everything is loaded miles there, even bringing back the empty is a paid loaded backhaul.
